Our next webinar for educators—Teaching Mindful Media Creation ([link removed]) —will feature experts from public media station KQED ([link removed]) offering guidance and resources for helping students learn about thoughtful, impactful and critical media creation. In this webinar, we’ll share examples of youth-created media and resources for aligning student-led media creation to your practice. This webinar will follow our new panel discussion format, responding directly to the needs of educators.

Register here ([link removed]) for the webinar and share your questions here ([link removed]) for our co-hosts, and we’ll do our best to answer them in the webinar. The deadline to submit questions is 11:59 p.m. CT on Thursday, February 15. Here’s information about the webinar co-hosts:
* Rachel Roberson is KQED’s senior program manager for education content and the humanities professional learning lead. Before KQED, she was a middle school English, ELD and social studies teacher leader in San Francisco; Austin, Texas; and overseas. Before teaching, she worked as a newspaper reporter in the San Francisco Bay Area.
* Angel Valerio is KQED’s program manager for STEM education professional learning and a secondary science field supervisor for the University of San Francisco’s teacher education program. Before her current roles, Angel was a life science educator, teacher leader and instructional coach in Los Angeles and Oakland, California.
