John —
I’m not taking a dime from corporate PACs. I hope you’ll let me explain why, but if you’re already with me, you can chip in now →
Our democracy shouldn’t be for sale, but my Republican opponent, David Schweikert, doesn’t seem to agree. He’s taken over $1 million from corporate PACs during his career. And those companies seem to have gotten their money’s worth from him.
He took over $500,000 from financial industry PACs and then voted to gut Wall Street reform, strip consumers of their right to sue when banks deceived them, and dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
I took on corporate fraudsters as Arizona Assistant Attorney General, took on Wall Street Big Banks by helping millions of Americans have access to fair bank accounts, and fought alongside Elizabeth Warren to create the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
The people of Arizona’s 1st Congressional District deserve to be represented by someone who will take on powerful interests that prey on everyday people, not someone doing the bidding of corporate donors.
I’m running for Congress to represent hard-working Arizonans, not corporations. That’s why I refuse to accept donations from their corporate PACs and why I’ll always be transparent with you. But I can’t keep up our campaign’s momentum alone — I need your help.
John, can I count on you to contribute $25, $50, or whatever you can afford today? Your investment today goes a long way to ensuring we keep our momentum and beat David Schweikert and his corporate PAC allies this fall.
