John – Lauren Boebert doesn’t give a sh*t about fixing immigration, and I can prove it.
For months, Boebert and her MAGA comrades were demanding a border security bill, all while spreading lies about migrant workers and our southern border. But when the Senate worked on a bipartisan bill to address real problems, Donald Trump told them to kill it.
After all of their fits and faux outrage about the border, Republicans stayed loyal to Trump and killed the bill.
I’ll let Republican Senator Jim Lankford tell you why:
“I had a popular commentator four weeks ago that I talked to that told me, flat out, before they knew any of the contents of the bill, that ‘If you try to move a bill that solves the border crisis during this presidential year, I will do whatever I can to destroy you. Because I do not want you to solve this during the presidential election.’ ”
John, the only crisis at the southern border right now is that Republicans refuse to let our federal agents and immigration officials do their jobs.
I know Donald Trump once called Colorado a border state, and we laughed at him. But immigration DOES matter to our state.
Colorado’s family farms depend on a reliable migrant labor force to produce the food that feeds our nation. Our guest workers and their families are deserving of respect and dignity. They put food on our tables and deserve as much a shot at the American dream as we do.
But Lauren Boebert and Donald Trump don’t care about farmers, the food supply, or migrant families who come seeking work and a better future.
We need an honest partner at the table working for compassionate, comprehensive immigration reform – and there is NO ONE in Colorado demonstrating less honesty or compassion than Lauren Boebert.
