As part of the 2023 Policymakers Symposium, Jeremy Furr of Stryten Energy, Christopher Minardi of Nexans, Ben Steinberg of the Battery Materials and Technology Coalition, and Jeremy Harrell of ClearPath, sat down with Leila Kimbrell from the Resource Development Council for Alaska to discuss what policies are needed to strengthen American supply chains and energy independence. |
Renewable energy resources require the use of mineral-intensive technologies; many of these minerals have been deemed “critical” by the U.S. Geological Survey. The panelists discussed the need to onshore domestic mineral supply chains and how we can capitalize on the use of these minerals to secure and expand the United States’ energy grid. |

NCEW is a bipartisan celebration of the policies, industries, and innovations that power our daily lives while producing no or very little greenhouse gas emissions. The 8th Annual National Clean Energy week is a time to celebrate the great strides we continue to make towards a more sustainable future, but also a time to have hard conversations about the reality of what it will take to become energy independent. |
