Hi John,

Just over a year after the rail disaster in East Palestine, Ohio the
Senate still has yet to take action.

That’s why I’m still calling for my colleagues to sign on to my Railway
Safety Act. It’s a bipartisan bill that would require more notice to state
emergency officials when trains are carrying hazardous materials, mandate
better crewing of freight trains, increase monitoring of potential safety
issues, and increase penalties in order to hold rail carriers accountable.
We need to get this done.

[ [link removed] ]If you agree, will you chip in any amount today so I can keep up this
important work in the U.S. Senate?

Right now, years of deregulation have given a few huge rail carriers way
too much power, all while they cut corners and risk public safety to save
a few bucks.

Fighting back in favor of everyday PA residents is what I’m in the Senate
to do. That’s why we’ve got to make progress for the safety of people
everywhere.

[ [link removed] ]If you’re with me in the fight to make progress for working people,
make a contribution to continue powering my work.

Thank you!

❤️ John
