Rejected Senate Border Bill Should Serve as Starting Point for Negotiations - The Border security and Ukraine and Israel aid bill that was drafted by Sens. James Lankford (R-Oklahoma), Kyrsten Sinema (I-Arizona), and Chris Murphy (D-Connecticut) failed to advance in its current form on a vote of 49-50 after a large majority of Republican Senators voted against it. While the bill failed to pass, it can be seen as a positive development that Republican and Democratic lawmakers worked in a bipartisan manner in an attempt to advance solutions to alleviate the chaos at the border. Rather than playing political football and blaming the other side for lack of action on immigration and the border, Republicans and Democrats should work together on solutions that can achieve the bipartisan support needed to pass both chambers of Congress.

Biden’s LNG freeze threatens Texas jobs and European security - President Joe Biden’s decision to freeze liquefied natural gas export permitting to non-free trade agreement countries — an action taken to appease left-wing climate activists — is disastrous policy no matter which way you cut it. LNG exports are critical to our energy, economic and national security while providing major environmental benefits.

San Antonio March for Life and Rally for Life, January 20, 2024 - On January 20, 2024, over 200 enthusiastic prolife advocates marched through downtown San Antonio in the annual SA March for Life. Even with temperatures ranging from 38 to 41 degrees, the participants loudly proclaimed they were for life. The marchers bring to light the plight of the unborn. The march and the rally that followed were sponsored by the San Antonio Family Association, (SAFA). Why March for Life? In a landmark decision on June 24, 2022 the Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the United States Supreme Court ruled that the Constitution of the United States does not give a federal right to abortion, therefore sending the decision to each individual state. It did not ban abortion. The fight to defend preborn children is no longer at the federal level, but at the local level.
