Visiting the Capitol Campus during the 2024 legislative session? Here?s what you need to know

The 2024 legislative session is well underway and continues to host a large mix of visitors, lawmakers, and engaged citizens on the Capitol Campus. If you plan to visit during this time, here are some tips to help you get the most out of your visit.

Events

Many permitted free speech events and activities take place on the Capitol Campus, especially when the legislature is in session. These events can have an impact on traffic and parking. Parking and shuttle service

Metered visitor parking is available in several locations on the Capitol Campus. You can view the DES interactive map [ [link removed] ] to find parking and electric vehicle charging stations available to visitors. Reserved parking will be clearly marked with cones.

The cost to park is $2 per hour on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. EV charging fees vary by station and can be found on the interactive map. During the 2024 legislative session, a shuttle service is available to transport visitors and employees to different Campus locations every 15 minutes. See the shuttle route [ [link removed] ].
