Statement of Secretary Benson on U.S. Supreme Court oral arguments in "Anderson v. Trump?"

"Today, Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson attended the U.S. Supreme Court oral arguments in Anderson v. Trump and made the following statement:"

?

?It was illuminating and encouraging to attend the oral arguments at the United States Supreme Court this morning regarding Donald Trump?s eligibility to serve as president following his unprecedented involvement in a nationally coordinated effort to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

?

"As Michigan?s Secretary of State, my job is to ensure every voter can have confidence in their voice, vote, and right to a free, fair, and secure election this year. To that end my hope, as I said in my amicus brief to the court, and my expectation is that this case is resolved swiftly and with finality so that voters, political parties, and election officials can have the needed clarity we all require going into this year?s election cycle."
