Follow these ice-fishing safety guidelines

Temperatures have warmed significantly, decreasing ice stability. If you are going to venture out onto the ice, please be cautious and follow these safety tips: bring a buddy; remember that a minimum of 3 inches of clear, blue lake ice is required for one person; check conditions with an ice chisel or spud bar; and bring a throw rope in case of emergency. Nonresident Nebraska turkey permits sold out

No more 2024 Nebraska spring turkey hunting permits are available to nonresidents ? the quota of 10,000 permits has sold out. Permits were available for purchase by nonresidents beginning Jan. 8, 2024. The last permit of the quota was purchased Jan. 25.
