The Minnesota Department of Revenue recommends reviewing your active power of attorneys annually and revoking authority for clients when you no longer need it.

How do I remove an existing power of attorney?

Complete and send us Form REV184r, Revocation of Power of Attorney.

Revoking power of attorney is especially important if you have checked the box to receive all client correspondence. Your client will not get letters or notices from us until you revoke it.

How long does my power of attorney last?

It depends on the form we have on file.
