Happy Black History Month, friend!
Ohioans have a lot to celebrate this month. Our state is the birthplace of Olympic gold medalist Jesse Owens, Nobel Prize-winner Toni Morrison, internationally renowned poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, and too many influential musicians to count.
It was home to critical stops on the Underground Railroad, and numerous abolitionists and activists throughout our nation's history. To this day, Black Ohioans continue to break new ground in every field, in communities from Lake Erie to the Ohio River.
We're so proud to celebrate and support them, this month and year-round.
With you,
Team Kaptur
