Folks,
Just a couple of weeks ago, I wrote to you to share how our Democrat-led Virginia Senate defeated Republican bills that tried to weaken voting rights in the Commonwealth.
Unfortunately, other states don’t have this Democratic stronghold like we do here in Virginia. In Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, and Georgia, Republican state officials are attempting to erode the Voting Rights Act, specifically a key portion that is critical in fighting discriminatory maps and voting laws.
If we want to stop Republican-controlled states from doing away with the Voting Rights Act, we need to expand our Democratic Senate majority. Will you pitch in $5 to help me get it done?
Our Democratic allies in GOP-controlled states can only thwart these attacks for so long.
They need our help in Washington to protect federal voting protections and make sure that voters all across the nation have fair and equal access to the ballot box.
The Voting Rights Act is under attack this year. We need more Democrats in Congress who will fight to preserve it.
So I’m asking: Can you contribute $5 to fuel my work to elect more Democrats to Congress this year so we can protect the right to vote for all Americans?
Thank you,
Mark Warner
