NIJ FY24 Research and Evaluation on the Impact of Technologies for Forensic Science Applications [ [link removed] ]
NIJ seeks funding proposals to study how technologies with forensic science applications impact criminal justice systems, how the implementation of forensic laboratory programs or practices affects outcomes, and how changes in policies adapt the use of forensic evidence.
NIJ seeks rigorous evaluations of the implementation of technologies, methods, or workflow processes to understand the impact on backlog reduction, capacity enhancement, cost relative to benefit, workforce development, or case closure efficiency.

Application Instructions
Applications will be submitted in a two-step process, each step with its own deadline:
* Submit an SF-424 and an SF-LLL in Grants.gov [ [link removed] ].
*Grants.gov Deadline: April 29, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET*
* Submit the full application, including attachments, in JustGrants [ [link removed] ].
*JustGrants Deadline: May 6, 2024 at 8:59 p.m. ET*
Applicants must register with Grants.gov [ [link removed] ] and JustGrants [ [link removed] ] prior to submitting an application.

The following application elements must be included in the application to meet the basic minimum requirements to advance to peer review and receive consideration for funding:
* SF-424 and SF-LLL (in Grants.gov).
* Proposal Narrative (in JustGrants).
* Budget Web-Based Form, which includes the budget details and the budget narrative (in JustGrants).
* Financial Management and System of Internal Controls Questionnaire, including applicant disclosure of high-risk status (in JustGrants).
* Curriculum Vitae/Resumes/Biosketches for Senior/Key Personnel. (For purposes of this
solicitation, “senior/key personnel” means the principal investigator, any and all coprincipal investigators, and other significant contributors.)
