Dear Friend, Our state has a Prescription Drug Affordability Board working on lowering drug costs in Maryland! It was created to begin to address the burden that unaffordable medicines place on all of us. We need to fight Phama’s greed and price gouging– that’s why it’s critical to get behind the work of this Board. The Board is taking an important first step by looking at implementing Upper Payment Limits that will make high cost drugs more affordable for our state and local governments. Next we need to make sure that it has the authority to implement upper payment limits on high cost drugs for all Marylanders. The Senate just held its first hearing on Senate Bill 388, legislation that will do just that. Now they need to hear from us.

We know that Marylanders strongly support lower drug prices. We need to be sure the members of the Senate Finance Committee know that, too! When you click to make the call you’ll also see a list of talking points that you can use. |
Thank you for taking action! It’s the best way to make our voices heard and take on the power of the drug industry. Stay tuned for updates and more action alerts in the next few weeks! In solidarity, The Progressive Maryland Healthcare Team |
