Friend,
Smedley Butler (1881-1940), a highly decorated Marine, was tapped to play the lead for a fascist Wall Street-led coup against the FDR government. He refused to play the role and instead began the process of unmasking the military-financial complex he had served, writing books such as "War Is A Racket."
Suzanne Klebe will present on Butler's legacy as whistleblower and anti-war writer within the greater context of FDR's anti-colonial intention for post-WWII U.S.A.
By understanding Butler's story, we can develop a conceptual basis by which to proceed in breaking apart the corruption of the military-financial complex, today.
