Friend, it’s been two years since the full-scale escalation of war in Ukraine. Since then, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has provided vital medical care and aid to civilians caught in the crossfire of this ongoing conflict.
MSF staff—many of whom are locally hired—have helped evacuate our patients to safer areas in Ukraine through our eight-car medical trains. These trains were specifically retrofitted for the unique challenges of this conflict. In October of 2023 alone, MSF evacuated 150 patients from a hospital that was hit by heavy shelling in the Kherson region of the country.
