We’ve seen some onerous displays of greed, unchecked privilege, and selfishness from some of our leaders in Washington during this crisis and its lead-up.

After being briefed by our Intelligence Community about the likely public health and economic fall out from this pandemic, Republican Senators Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler didn't focus on preparing the country -- they focused on protecting their wealth and began selling their stocks. Mind you, these senators have been silent as this president chides and insults our Intelligence Community, but they sure did act on the IC's analysis when it came to protecting their pocketbooks.

We must END this kind of corruption. Those willing to break the public's trust in times of crises have no place in our government.

The way these members of Congress have conducted themselves belies an undercurrent of selfishness and a toxic belief that the rules don’t apply to them. We need to elect leaders who will use their position to keep Americans safe and healthy, not for personal self-enrichment or selfish disregard for others.

Gina’s entire career has been dedicated to public service. She served under presidents of both parties to keep Americans safe. Gina served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force, including a deployment to Iraq, before moving back home to care for her mother who was diagnosed with cancer. This is the kind of leader we need in Washington -- not self-enriching politicians!
