Many autism researchers consider the high-quality, state-level data collected by the California Department of Developmental Services to be the most reliable long-term record of autism prevalence trends in the United States. A new study using that database has “unmasked” patterns showing that autism rates are evolving in strikingly different ways for different groups.
Specifically, the county-level analysis shows that racial/ethnic minorities and lower-income families are increasingly bearing the brunt of severe autism, while conversely, ASD prevalence is flattening and even declining among whites in California’s wealthier counties. These results show there is an urgent need to understand all the factors of what is happening within these groups and what can be done to help all children.
By popular demand from committed health freedom and vaccine safety advocates everywhere, CHD has created an online store with merchandise that will help spread the word about our mission to end the childhood epidemics that now affect over half of the children in the U.S.
We offer a variety of t-shirts and hats in various designs that drive home the need for informed health care decisions that should always be left in the hands of caregivers vs. government bureaucrats.
