John, the Constitution is clear: Insurrectionists who swore an oath to support the Constitution are disqualified from public office. They do not get a second chance to overthrow our democracy.
The Supreme Court will now have to make a decision about whether the plain text of the Constitution and the will of the framers of the 14th Amendment will be enforced.
