John, Today, I delivered my 2024 State of the State Address and talked about our strategic mission, our success over the last 12 months, and this year's plans to make Maryland safer, more affordable, more competitive, and the state that serves. I am proud to say that our state is strong. I am proud of the work we’ve done so far. One year into my governorship, we’ve accomplished big things, but there is so much more left to do. Our state has boundless opportunities and potential, and it’s up to us to make that happen. To make sure this is Maryland’s decade, we cannot leave anything on the table. We have promises to keep, and Marylanders deserve our most attentive focus to be making their lives better, and not to fall into the trap of political games. Fulfilling the promise of Maryland is the goal, and strong partnership is how we get there. Our state is going to be better because of it. It is on all of us to work together to fulfill the potential of what Maryland can be. I am proud to work with a bold coalition of partners across the state to unveil a comprehensive plan to guide our work together – the first State Plan in nearly a decade. The State Plan will guide our work for the next three years. We’ve built this agenda by listening to the people who sent us here. Great public servants listen to and center the voices of their constituents and the State Plan will guide our work to do just that. We need better public servants to set the example because service will save us. I’ll share more as we unveil the full details of the State Plan. This will be Maryland’s decade. In Maryland, we go fast. In Maryland, we go far. And in Maryland, we go together. Thank you for your trust. Elevate, Wes Moore |
