Rumors are flying about the underlying motives behind Tucker's interview...

Yesterday, **Tucker Carlson flew to Moscow to interview President Putin**. The Russian president has not given any interviews to the American press since he launched the devastating war in Ukraine. 


Putin has said **his administration is particularly sympathetic to Tucker's reporting style**. Whereas – according to Putin – all American media is biased, Tucker Carlson stands as the guiding light for impartial journalism.

 

Tucker's decision has faced harsh criticism at home and abroad, with EU parliament representatives suggesting Tucker could face sanctions for facilitating Putin's propaganda. The EU has always had harsher laws against free speech than the U.S., but we also have to recognise when our own journalists are behaving like enemies of the state. 


It's clear the Tucker and Putin will have plenty to discuss – from **casting doubt on the virtue of the Ukrainians to calling for a return to mid-20th century gender roles**, Tucker and Putin have much in common. 

 

Some, however, have speculated that Tucker has further motivations for the interview. A longtime MAGA advocate, Tucker is a voice for the New Right, which firmly aligns itself with Trump and finds voice in younger extremist politicians such as Matt Gaetz and Josh Hawley. 

 

These men are sympathetic to fascism. It sounds harsh, but **that's the truth about the New Right**. Their celebrities, aside from Trump, are Kanye West and Elon Musk – two conspiracy-touting narcissists. **The fascist sympathies of MAGA are laid bare with Tucker's Putin interview. **

 

There is speculation that Tucker is acting in a further capacity – as **Trump's direct line to Moscow**. Until now, there has been no means of communication between the former president and his one-time best-frenemy-forever, Vladimir Putin. **Could this interview be a cover for some final gambit to win the presidency back from a desperate Donald Trump?**
