Hi there, it’s Deborah Ross.
Right now, the costs of living and supporting a family are higher than ever. I hear every day from folks who are burdened by the high cost of child care and housing.
That's why I voted to pass the bipartisan Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act last week — legislation that will expand the Child Tax Credit and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit. An estimated 18,000 children in NC-02 alone will benefit from the expansion of the Child Tax Credit included in this package.
The passage of this legislation in the House is a testament to what we can accomplish when we put politics aside and put the American people first. However, there’s still so much work to be done to help struggling families in our district, state and country get ahead.
