**2024 Activist-In-Residence-Fellows

Now in its 3rd year, The Center’s Activist-In-Residence Fellowship program provides support to individuals who are emerging or established activists with bold, cutting-edge ideas for advancing LGBTQ+ rights in New York State. We specifically and intentionally support BIPOC LGBTQ+ Youth by drawing from a pool of current and past ROAR interns to work with Center staff to develop their individual proposals to apply for the fellowship.

With three major elections this year and New York voter turnout historically low, The Center is more committed than ever to getting New Yorkers to the polls through our Get Out The Vote Campaign. If you have an opinion on what should be done, from school board elections to judicial selections, then voting is the first step to making that happen.

**LGBTQ+ Reception and NYS Caucus Weekend

On Saturday, February 17, join The Center, In Our Own Voices, Equality New York, and the NEW Pride Agenda for our LGBTQ+ Reception at the 53rd Annual New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Legislators Conference in Albany, New York. We will bring visibility to diverse sectors of the LGBTQ+ community, honor individuals who have propelled progressive change forward, and introduce The Center's new CEO, Dr. Carla Smith. Guests will enjoy an evening of music, performances, and a toast to a new chapter of leadership.
