Dear John,

I hope that you are safe and healthy during this challenging time.

Over the past few weeks, every campus where we have NeW chapters has moved to online courses for the foreseeable future. Some of our graduating seniors have even been informed their graduation ceremonies are cancelled this spring. During these times, we are transitioning our programs from in-person meetings and events to online webinars, Facebook Lives, and Instagram Lives, as that is the most effective way to reach our students and young professionals. Because of your involvement and friendship, NeW is on firm footing, continuing to actively educate, equip, and empower young women across the country.
A key aspect of NeW is that we create a vibrant community for young women. We are grateful to have the technology to be able to continue to give women access to exclusive professional development resources, host policy discussions, and support our members. We are working hard to give you the resources that you have come to expect and appreciate from NeW.

On March 20, I participated in an Instagram Live with Kelsey Bolar from the Independent Women’s Forum on how the coronavirus is impacting young people and what they should do about it. Here is a piece I wrote on the topic, "Millennials must abandon reckless coronavirus response." ([link removed])

Here are some ways you can stay connected with NeW in March:

This week we launched our March Madness bracket competition of inspiring conservative women in celebration of Women's History Month on Instagram. Our followers are invited to vote for their favorite conservative woman this week. We invite you to play along with us here. ([link removed])
How to Work Effectively from Home ([link removed])
Join us as Kathryn Alford, Communications Manager for NeW, conducts a Facebook Live Session on Thursday, March 26 at 12:30pm EST on how to work effectively from home, whether you are studying or in the workforce. Learn practical tips like how to schedule your day, how to stay in touch with friends, and how not to go stir crazy. Special guest Sophie Czerneicki, a Senior in college and Campus Program Fellow with NeW, will join in.

At 3:00pm EST, Czerniecki will recap their conversation and answer your questions on Instagram Live. You won't want to miss it!
Equal Pay Day: Debunking the Narrative ([link removed])
Tuesday, March 31 is Equal Pay Day, the day that liberal feminists declare represents how long women have to work into the next year to make the same amount of money as men in the previous year. Tune in Tuesday, March 31 at 10:00am EST on Facebook Live as I host a discussion on debunking the wage gap and how working from home brings flexibility and freedom.

In April, we look forward to bringing you programming featuring some the campus speakers we had scheduled.
Beyond these opportunities, we want you to know that NeW is here to help you. Whether you are looking for a job currently or wanting to connect with other like-minded women, we invite you to contact us by responding to this email or reaching out to any of our team members. We are here for you.

We will keep you informed in the coming weeks and months ahead as updates become available. In the meantime, we invite you to follow us on Instagram ([link removed]) , Facebook ([link removed]) , and Twitter ([link removed]) to further connect with our inspiring network of incredible women.

We wish you all the best and hope you stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Karin Lips
President
