Each February we recognize Black History Month as a time to honor Black culture, community, and contributions throughout American history. On behalf of WFP and AFGE B.L.A.C.K., we invite you to celebrate Black History Month and the rich fabric of our union’s diversity by joining us for one of our virtual programs this month.

Kick off Black History Month at our virtual workshop: Overview of AFGE B.L.A.C.K. to learn more about our constituency group, including our purpose and mission, the work and goals we are striving to accomplish for our AFGE members, and how to get more involved and show your support in solidarity.

Then join us on the following Monday, February 26, 2024, for one of our two sessions, from 11:30am-1pm ET or again at 7:30-9pm ET, to learn more about the History of Black Labor in the U.S. and the role Black labor has played throughout American history, including the labor movement, civil rights movement, and the fight for justice today. Finally, join us as we continue to discuss race, policing, protest, and unionism for a Conversation with Black AFGE Law Enforcement on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, from 7:30-9pm ET.
