I spent nearly a decade working as a senior staffer for our retiring Congressman Denny Heck. One of the things I enjoyed most about working alongside Denny was talking to folks about how our federal government works and how decisions get made and helping demystify that process for them. With all that’s going on in the news right now, I think there’s more of a need than ever for honest conversations about how Congress makes decisions.
