Dear Friend,
Today marks a crucial step in the fight to lower prescription drug costs in Maryland with the first hearing of Senate Bill 388 (SB388
) going on now! We are in the initial phases of this bill, however, we anticipate a tough battle to garner full support from the Senate to pass it, which is why we are reaching out. |
SB388 would require the Governor to include an appropriation of at least $1,000,000 for the Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB) in the annual budget bill. The PDAB is vital in addressing the soaring costs of prescription drugs,
but it remains unfunded. We urgently need our state legislators to allocate funds to enable the board to begin its crucial work.
You can make a significant impact by taking just a few minutes to use our easy tool to call the Senate Finance Committee this week and urge a YES vote on SB388. Our tool also provides you with a quick list of talking points so you can know what to say! |
Thank you for your commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and affordability in our state. Sincerely, Patty Snee and The PM Health Justice Team |
