This week, the Biden Administration tried to pass a legislative package with cruel, anti-immigrant, GOP border policies tied to more money for bombs and weapons for Israel.

Democrats can't take on Republican extremism by trying to pass a Republican anti-immigration bill and turning their backs on Dreamers, asylum-seekers, and migrant families. Our progressive Squad knows this and opposed this bad bill from the beginning.

Despite Biden giving Republicans what they wanted, it still wasn’t enough for GOP extremists, so they separated the immigration reform and military spending into separate bills in an attempt to pass $17 billion in additional military funding to Israel with no conditions and no humanitarian aid.

Every Justice Democrats incumbent voted against this blank check for genocide in Gaza. While 45 Democrats — largely bankrolled by AIPAC — voted for it, it wasn’t enough to pass.

It goes to show that our pro-peace movement is growing, and it demonstrates why we need to protect and expand our progressive bloc in Congress this year as they face tens of millions of dollars in attacks from AIPAC and their right-wing network.
