Dear John
It's been my absolute honor to serve as Executive Director here at Santa Fe Dreamers Project for the past year and a half. I started working here as a new staff attorney fresh out of law school, when our small but mighty crew of four were jammed into the same building as the Youthworks woodworking program. It's been such a joy to be a part of our organization's remarkable growth and transformation over the past seven years. I've been lucky to be a part of life-changing journeys in the lives of hundreds of individuals and families all across New Mexico, in detention centers around the country, and at the border.
I'm writing to share the good news that, after many months of diligent preparation, we are ready to welcome our next permanent leader to the team. We are now accepting applications for our next Executive Director. I could be slightly biased, but I truly believe that Santa Fe Dreamers Project has the absolute best team, clients, and community of any nonprofit organization out there. Please help us find somebody great to join us as we move into our next chapter by sharing our job posting widely. You can find the complete posting on our website at www.santafedreamersproject.org/careers.
In solidarity, Emma O'Sullivan
Executive Director
PS. If you're interested in getting involved at SFDP in a different capacity, we also have tons of volunteering opportunities and will be scheduling a volunteer orientation soon. Current opportunities include: - Serve on our board of directors! Join a fantastic group of dedicated volunteers who help govern our organization and support our staff.
- Legal clinics: Every week in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, our walk-in legal clinics depend on volunteers to make it happen.
-
Office support: You can only imagine how much paper a busy law office like ours accumulates! We're always looking for great volunteers to help out.
- Remote translation: If you have language skills, we need you! Help us translate documents to support our clients' cases on your own time, from the comfort of your home.
-
Fundraising: If you can't make a commitment during business hours, we have occasional after-hours events where you can come make a difference.
- For more information and to get signed up for our next volunteer orientation, email [email protected] with "Volunteer" in the subject line, and we'll get back to you within a week or two!
