CHARLESTON, WV – Gov. Jim Justice will visit the Northern Panhandle tomorrow, making two stops.

SBA CHECK PRESENTATION TO MARSHALL COUNTY
WHAT: Gov. Jim Justice will present a check for $9,213,555 to be used to construct the new Benwood-McMechen Elementary School. As Chairman of the West Virginia School Building Authority in December, Gov. Justice led a vote to approve an award of $111,687,534 to 19 counties for Fiscal Year 2024. The Governor is delivering Marshall County its share of funding as part of that $111m.

GRANT AWARDS PRESENTATION
WHAT: Gov. Justice will hold an event at the Grave Creek Mound Archeological Complex in Moundsville to present the recommendation of 10 AML Economic Revitalization (AMLER) Program projects that will utilize nearly $30 million in federal grant funding for economic development at abandoned mine land sites across the state.
Then, he will join West Virginia Department of Arts, Culture, and History Curator Randall Reid-Smith to present 25 grants to artists and organizations in the Northern Panhandle totaling $738,969.
