John, political infighting over Israel and ‘border security’ is happening in both parties.
After the Senate negotiated for months on a bipartisan bill for 'stricter border enforcement' and funding for Israeli weapons, the GOP might vote it down. But not because they oppose funding Israel’s horrific bombing campaigns in Gaza.
In the House, some Democrats supported Mike Johnson’s bill to fund Israeli weapons because, more than disagreeing with the GOP, they want to support Netanyahu’s war.
These are all political games, because when it comes down to it, as NPR reports, both parties still want to pass a bill to fund Israel’s war.
There have been a select few clear, courageous voices including Bernie, Barbara Lee, and Rashida Tlaib calling on the U.S. government to end U.S. support for the killing of so many people in Gaza. Our Revolution is in this fight with them because the question of whether or not to fund Netanyahu’s war shouldn’t be a foregone conclusion or a cynical political game, it should be a moral choice — a choice to say no more funding and no more weapons for Israel’s war in Gaza.
Now is the time to stand with Bernie and keep the pressure on to end U.S. support for the war in Gaza.

The United States sends billions of dollars to Israel every year. President Biden unilaterally sent $250 million worth of weapons to Israel during this war. The U.S. role in this war is undeniable, and unacceptable.
Support for the moral choice has been building in Congress and across the country thanks to the advocacy of Bernie, Barbara Lee, Tlaib, and our progressive movement for peace. That’s why now, as both parties are fighting over the next step on national and international funding bills, we need to keep the pressure on.
