Friend,

Everyone deserves to live independently and with dignity.

For too many of us, the very real fear of scammers who target our elderly and
most vulnerable makes that right to live independently a challenge for many of
us and our loved ones.

And that’s particularly true of robocalls – those automated calls where you
don’t know if there’s a live person on the other side – where Americans are
being contacted more than 50 billion times a year. And as that number continues
to balloon, it’s unreasonable to expect people to crack down on these
individually.

For the peace of mind of our caretakers, seniors, and families, we have to stay
one step ahead of these bad actors.

That’s why I’ve taken action by leading an effort to cut scam robocalls out.

This would crack down on spammers and scammers using AI robocalls by making the
person behind a robocall that uses artificial intelligence clearly disclose that
AI is being used.

It would also increase penalties for bad actors caught using these fraudulent
technologies.

By taking scammers on, we can remove billions of dollars in theft that affects
over 65 million Americans every year.

I’m making sure this scamming ends here, with us.

I will always fight for every American, especially our most vulnerable. If
you’re committed to the same values, please chip in a donation today to help
keep true representation in Washington.
