John,
Two wild dolphins have been killed off the Florida coast.
The Animal Legal Defense Fund is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for these acts of cruelty.
The first victim, a male dolphin, was found dead near Naples. The dolphin had a large, deep gash on his snout, believed to be a gunshot or stab wound. The second victim, another male dolphin, was found dead at Pensacola Beach with a bullet in his side. |

John, in cases like this, donor support helps us offer critical financial rewards that can lead to justice for animal victims and hold violent criminals accountable. We understand these are difficult times, and we appreciate all the help we can get. Any and every gift makes an impact. Will you help get justice for these dolphins with a contribution today?
The Marine Mammal Protection Act makes it a crime to harass, hunt, kill, or feed wild dolphins. The maximum penalty for each violation is up to one-year imprisonment or a fine of $100,000, or both. We urge anyone with information to come forward so those responsible can be brought to justice.
Because people who hurt animals don’t stop with animals. There is a link between violence against animals, and violence against people — which makes animal cruelty a community safety issue for both animals and people alike.
You can make a powerful difference in our fight to end acts of cruelty like this, and protect innocent lives with your support now to help find perpetrators of animal cruelty and bring them to justice. |
For the animals,
