Small Steps Big Changes (SSBC) Child Development Resource
Small Steps Big Changes (SSBC) Child Development Resource is a concise reference booklet for practitioners working with children age 0 to 5. Practitioners can use it as a starting point to develop knowledge of the key developmental milestones from birth to five years, access additional support signposting and support with making informed judgements on age related progress.??
A webinar with nearly 100 Early Years Sector colleagues launched the Child Development Resource in April 2023, after which SSBC shared hardcopies of the resource with all Nottingham practitioners working with children aged 0-60 months. The webinar and the downloadable version of the Child Development Resource can be found on the SSBC website.
The Child Development resource was designed as a useful tool and we encourage colleagues to dip in and out the content as it suits you.

One of the working groups is called, Eating & Moving for Good Health. Within their strategy they have set a target for the number of eligible families claiming the Healthy Start scheme to be 90% by 2027. It is currently 83%, but this figure fluctuates every month.
