Hey everyone —
I wanted to take a moment today to discuss our response to the coronavirus pandemic, and how you can help. We’re mobilizing the government, business, and non-profit communities to meet this pandemic head on.
But the bottom line is it’s going to take all of us doing our part to fight this virus.
The most important thing you can do is stay home unless you need to go out for something essential, like medicine or groceries. By minimizing your contact with other people, you’re helping to slow the spread of the virus and prevent our health care system from being overwhelmed.
Here’s how else you can help right now:
- If you have unused personal protective equipment (like N95 masks, gloves, and gowns), please consider donating them to health care workers in need by using this form.
- If you have a business with the ability to help source or manufacture critical COVID-19 response products, let us know.
- And if you’re financially able, please consider making a contribution to Citymeals on Wheels and God's Love We Deliver to help our seniors get the food they need right now.
This is not easy, but I want you all to know that every day we are working to come up with ideas and solutions to help the most number of people.
This is the greatest city in the world. We have been knocked down before, but we have gotten up. And we will get up again, together.
Thank you for your messages, your support, and your compassion for your fellow New Yorkers.
Talk soon,
— Corey
