Last year, Americans spent almost 26 billion dollars on this holiday² — that’s enough for The Canopy Project to plant 1 tree for every person, more than 3 times over. We're planting trees with communities across the world that are vulnerable to climate change. Reforestation is a vital part of our fight against climate change because trees serve as valuable carbon sinks and provide shade, habitat, clean air and water, and food. 

A general gift to EARTHDAY.ORG will support our many initiatives: delivering climate education and literacy to help the next generation fight climate change, reducing plastic use and pollution, and promoting sustainable fashion.
