Folks,

I thought I was past the point of being surprised by some of the hypocrisy in Congress, but the Republican exodus from this bipartisan border deal is truly shocking. Especially after they made the border their top political issue for months.

They asked for significant changes to immigration policy. Democrats came to the table and got a deal done – the most transformative border deal in decades, in fact. Yet, here we are.

I know that the House is full of far-right members who are more than happy to cowtail to Trump’s wishes, just like I know that there are quality Republicans who refuse to hold back our country for the sake of remaining loyal to Trump.

But the moral of the story is, we need more politicians in Congress who will focus on delivering real results for the American people on the issues that matter most to them. We can’t afford more leaders who are as nakedly hypocritical as the Republicans walking away from this truly bipartisan border agreement.

That’s why I’m asking: Will you support my work to bring more Democratic leaders to Congress who are laser-focused on addressing the issues that matter most to you?
