Dear John,
Tomorrow, as we celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day, our campaign in Washington's 8th Congressional District is proud to honor the incredible achievements of female athletes and reaffirm our commitment to fostering equality and opportunity in
sports.
All of my girls played some kind of sport growing up, whether it was volleyball, basketball or softball. Women and girls in sports is a great thing. However, this is under attack by those that want to play in women’s sports but were not born a girl.
This special day is not just about recognizing the monumental accomplishments of women and girls in athletics; it's about inspiring and protecting the next generation of leaders and champions. It's a call to action to support policies and initiatives
that ensure every girl has the chance to play, compete, and succeed in the sports they love.
