Today a three-judge panel ruled that Donald Trump does not have “Presidential immunity” and his trial on January 6th charges can move forward. This isn’t the end of the issue though - Trump’s team almost certainly is going to take this to the Supreme Court.

Here’s why this matters: In order for our democracy to stay strong, no one can be above the law. This is especially important for government officials.

Now we have to ask ourselves as a country: Do we really want to elect someone who incited an insurrection and tried to overturn the last election… as our next Commander in Chief? Of course not.

What happens in this trial will have major implications on the next election. Even a good number of Republican politicians say they will refuse to vote for Trump if he is convicted of these crimes.
