john,
This past Sunday was World Cancer Day, a day where the entire world united in the fight against the growing global cancer epidemic.
As a doctor, Kim knows all too well that many Americans put off going to the doctor's office to get cancer screenings because they're worried about cost, a life-changing diagnosis, or lack of access.
That's why, in the face of a growing global cancer epidemic that is claiming the lives of over 600,000 Americans a year, Kim has made lowering the cost of healthcare a top priority of hers in Congress.
In 2021, Kim introduced the Capping Costs for Consumers Act — a bill that would have reduced healthcare co-pays and deductibles for millions of families. This bill would have encouraged more folks to get health care coverage and screenings, all while saving families in Washington's 8th District an average of $2,500 in out-of-pocket costs.
As we continue to face this growing epidemic, rising healthcare costs, and a Republican party working to cut Medicare and Social Security, Kim's work has never been more essential.
Kim will always fight in Congress to lower the cost of healthcare, but she needs to know you have her back. Will you chip in $5 or whatever you can afford to help Kim keep WA-08 blue so she can continue her critical work for Washingtonians?
