John,
I’ve got great news - Governor Shapiro just included my initiative to create the Pennsylvania Medical Debt Relief Program as a priority for him in this year’s budget! This builds on the bipartisan passage of this legislation in our State House last summer.
This program will allow us to eliminate over $100 in medical debt for every dollar we invest in Pennsylvanians. As a result, we can help hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians directly and reduce the cost of healthcare for the entire state.
I’m proud to work with Gov. Shapiro and bipartisan colleagues to deliver on the promises I made to my constituents to make healthcare more affordable and accessible. This exemplifies my goal to be a unifying and effective leader for my community and Pennsylvania.
But we’re only able to make those investments if I continue to be politically strong and effective - and that means winning critical front-line districts like mine. Can you chip in $25, $50 or $100 today to help me continue doing this critical work? [[link removed]]
Together, we can build a stronger community for all Pennsylvanians and serve as a model for the country.
Sincerely,
Rep. Arvind Venkat, MD
