The Wisconsin GOP passed their 14-week abortion ban through the State Assembly on January 25th – but that’s not the wildest thing they did.

One GOP Representative literally compared women to animals during the floor debate.

GOP Rep. Joel Kitchens said that, because he was a veterinarian and did “thousands of ultrasounds on animals,” he understands “mammalian fetal development better than probably anyone.” And he thinks that gives him the right to dictate what women do with their own bodies.

We shouldn’t even have to say this, but women. aren’t. animals. Understanding “mammalian fetal development” doesn’t give you the authority to take away our right to choose.

But unless we show up to vote in record numbers this November, people like Rep. Kitchens will continue their disgusting attacks on reproductive rights.
