Friend—
Disadvantaged communities are on the frontlines of the climate crisis. Despite historically contributing the least to climate change, these communities disproportionately bear the burden of its consequences.
One step in rectifying this injustice comes via the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which commits meaningful funds to the communities most adversely and disproportionately impacted by the climate crisis and environmental injustice.
But what does tapping into IRA funding look like in practice for your community?
Next week, I'll join Representative Nanette Barragán and experts from EPA, the Greenlining Institute, and the Environmental Protection Network to talk about EPA's Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Grants.

We'll discuss how this program invests approximately $2 billion in projects in disadvantaged communities, how to apply for grants and get technical assistance, who is eligible, and more.
The promise of a clean energy transition and safer climate future hinges upon ensuring resources reach the people and places that need them the most.
I hope to see you online next Monday, February 12 at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET.

Sincerely,
Hannah Reid
