An important part of my Attorney General team is the Criminal Justice
Division. This work doesn’t always make headlines, but my team is helping
to keep our communities safe.

Here are two recent examples:

* We stepped in to ensure that a convicted Spokane child sex predator
would not go free and will instead be sent to the Special Commitment
Center on McNeil Island.^1

* We secured convictions for two men for felony child rape following an
undercover investigation. They received maximum terms of life in
prison following their convictions.^2

I take the responsibility of protecting the safety of our communities
seriously and I am proud that we secured convictions for these dangerous
individuals.
