NIJ FY24 Research and Evaluation on Hate Crimes [ [link removed] ]
NIJ seeks applications for rigorous research and evaluation projects to inform policy and practice to prevent and respond to hate crimes. Though applications may cover a range of topics, NIJ is particularly interested in funding:
* Evaluations of federal, state, or locally funded efforts to combat hate crimes.
* Research that informs strategies to prevent hate crimes.
* Research and evaluations of strategies to improve the reporting, identification, and response to hate crimes.
* Research and evaluations of strategies to improve outcomes for survivors and their communities.
NIJ will be hosting an informational webinar about this funding opportunity, along with the separate solicitation "NIJ FY24 Research on School-Based Hate Crimes," on Tuesday, February 13, 2023, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. ET. Register for the webinar [ [link removed] ].

Applications will be submitted in a two-step process, each step with its own deadline:
* Submit an SF-424 and an SF-LLL in Grants.gov [ [link removed] ].
*Grants.gov Deadline: April 29, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET*
* Submit the full application, including attachments, in JustGrants [ [link removed] ].
*JustGrants Deadline: May 6, 2024 at 8:59 p.m. ET*
Applicants must register with Grants.gov [ [link removed] ] and JustGrants [ [link removed] ] prior to submitting an application.

The following application elements must be included in the application to meet the basic minimum requirements to advance to peer review and receive consideration for funding:
* SF-424 and SF-LLL (in Grants.gov).
* Proposal Narrative (in JustGrants).
* Budget Web-Based Form, which includes the budget details and the budget narrative (in JustGrants).
* Financial Management and System of Internal Controls Questionnaire, including applicant disclosure of high-risk status (in JustGrants).
* Curriculum Vitae/Resumes for Key Personnel. (For purposes of this solicitation, “key personnel” means the principal investigator, and any and all co-principal investigators.)
