During this difficult time, BREATHE LA is committed to providing patient support programs about lung health to under-served children and families across Southern California. As our nation bands together to combat the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), BREATHE LA continues to place the health and well-being of our communities at the forefront of our work.
Now more than ever we need your help to continue to reach children and families living with chronic lung diseases; those most at risk of more severe symptoms and worse outcomes if they contract COVID-19.
BREATHE LA is working hard to provide patient management and educational services to families with childhood asthma in our Lung Power Program. In Los Angeles County alone, pediatric asthma cases result in more than 20,000 emergency room visits and almost 3,000 hospitalizations each year. Many of these visits are avoidable through education.
