Citizens' Climate Lobby

Hi John,

Remember the $20 billion in funds allocated to climate-smart forestry in the Inflation Reduction Act? A new Farm Bill could lock in this funding, but early negotiations show these funds may be at risk.

Ask your members of Congress to protect climate-smart forestry funding in the Farm Bill 🌲

Email Congress
A screenshot from the TV show Friends of Joey hugging Chandler. Chandler is labeled "$20 billion of climate-smart forestry funding," and Joey is labeled "America's trees"

Trees are nature's vacuum cleaner. Every year, they pull the equivalent of 12% of America’s carbon pollution out of the air.

By protecting, expanding, and managing our forests in a way that is climate-smart, they can do even more – up to 22% by 2030.

Congress is set to work on the new Farm Bill now and into the summer. And it's essential that they hear from us now in the process.

Take a minute to tell your members of Congress it’s important we protect these funds. Trees, forest owners and people who want to breathe healthy air will thank you!

With gratitude,

Brett Cease
