I try not to jump to foregone conclusions. Any member of Congress, or any aspiring member, should always do their due diligence when confronted with problems and question everything.
When the Senate released their “border security” bill—I had my fair share of questions. Here’s my thought process:
Does this so-called border security bill…
Shut down the Southern Border? → No
End catch and release? → No
Finish President Trump’s wall? → No
Cover ONLY border policy? → No
John , if it doesn’t do any of the above—can it really be considered a border bill? → No

This is nothing more than a massive SPENDING AND AMNESTY bill, which ties aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan with progressive immigration policy hidden under the guise of border security.
This bill would codify catch and release, give Mayorkas unchecked asylum powers, grant tens of thousands of new Green Cards, and provide taxpayer-funded lawyers to illegals.
In Congress, I’ll fight to ensure bills like this are dead on arrival and put forth simple, standalone legislation that will end the border crisis once and for all.
