** Join Us for Conversations on Managing Mental Health During COVID-19
------------------------------------------------------------

Staying connected in this time of uncertainty can be challenging, but one thing we can do is continue to reach out and support each other. Whether through a text message, phone call, or video chat, it’s important that we don’t isolate ourselves – even when we can’t be in the same room.

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is dedicated to fostering a dialogue about how we can all strive to manage our mental health and help others to do the same. This week, we’ll be providing informative and helpful content across our social media platforms:

This Wednesday, March 25^th, AFSP’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Christine Moutier, and Dr. Jessi Gold (Washington University in St Louis Department of Psychiatry) will be answering questions on Instagram ([link removed]) about COVID-19 and managing your mental health. If you have a question you’d like them to discuss, follow us @afspnational and write in your question – you may see it answered in our Instagram stories!

Additionally, on Wednesday, March 25^th at 12 p.m. ET, Dr. Christine Moutier will participate in a webinar hosted by PsychU ([link removed]) focused on the mental health impacts of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Dr. Moutier will share advice on self-care tips for providers, and discuss her perspective on using technology to engage with patients. You can register and join the webinar discussion here ([link removed]) .

Lastly, on Thursday at 4 p.m. ET on Facebook Live ([link removed]) , AFSP will be hosting Ask Dr. Jill, in partnership with The Mighty. ([link removed]) Everyone manages their mental health differently in times of uncertainty, but there are steps we can all practice to take care of ourselves. Dr. Jill Harkavy-Friedman, AFSP Vice President of Research, will be answering questions and providing tips on how we can support our own and others' mental health right now.

We hope that you’ll join us as we share techniques we can all use to stay well and be there for each other.
