According to FOX5 Las Vegas, "The Nevada Senate joined the state Assembly in passing AJR 6, which would add the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact to the Nevada State Constitution."
But the news gets even better!
Because AJR6 makes joining the NPVIC a state constitutional amendment — rather than a state law — passage will
not require the support of Nevada's Republican Governor. It will be decided by the voters of the Silver State directly, via ballot measure!
And, if just 5
more states sign on — Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Virginia, and Pennsylvania — we will get the NPVIC across the finish line and END the Electoral College, for GOOD.
